5 Head Stamp Battery FOUND!!

Replica picture to the side, shows an All Steel /Cast frame Stamp Battery. This is the same that disappeared from Hatters Hill many years ago. About 1979. So 45 years ago. Some time ago, I gave the LK Tavern a blown-up photo of the HH Battery that my Dad took in the early 1970s, In the hope that someone would see it and maybe know of its whereabouts. With starting this page, and the recent publicity of our restoration work, I again contacted various people asking where it may be, and I was able to track down its whereabouts to an avid collector of antique machinery.... Not only that, but he is willing to give it back to LK. I have since been onto the LK Progress, and they are formally asking for the Battery to come back to LK, along with thanking the holder for saving the Battery, and his generosity in seeing it back. I will be liaising with the holder soon on the best way to transport it back to LK. Where a decision will then be made on the best place to put it on show, with appropriate signage telling its story/ provenance and its connection to LK Ravy and Newdegate.
